The FAST returns to the St Petersburg College Allstate Campus first responder and amphibious vehicle training pad. As always, the $30 entry fee includes the World-Famous FAST Lunch! The site will open up about 7 AM for site setup and car preparation, registration and tech open shortly thereafter, drivers' meeting at 10, first car off ASAP afterwards. Tech will set up in the paddock area. All drivers will work. Work assignments are described at http://www.kickflop.net/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=619 -- default assignment is to courseworker. The number of runs will be determined by the event chair the day of the event; typically, we get 5-7 runs each at this site.In keeping with the low-key character of our events, FAST uses a very basic car classification system -- please see http://www.wedrivefast.com/AboutOurEvents/RulesClassing/tabid/59/Default.aspx to determine the correct class for your car when filling out your entry.Online registration will close at 10 pm on 10 February. Entries cancelled prior to the pre-registration deadline will receive credit for a future event. Although pre-registration is capped at 65 entrants, we will take a limited number of additional walk-ons as well. There is also no restriction on guests at this site. If you wish to bring more than one guest, simply note the extras in the "message to registrar" block on the entry form so we can plan for lunch -- and we still ask that you chip in $5 for each guest eating lunch.
SPC is a spectator-friendly site -- a shaded area with tables provides an ideal area for family and friends to watch the event. For insurance purposes, everyone must sign the waiver, and children must remain behind the guardrails -- please cooperate with us.
Please note that drivers under age 18 will require a parent or guardian to sign the insurance waiver allowing them to compete.
