Der Schuh Syndikat 2012 is the Inaugural Z3/M Coupe event for the East Coast. This is a coupe focused event, but all BMW owners and fans of the E36/8 Coupe are invited to participate.
Friday evening 7/6 - The event will kick off at The Hilton Garden Inn Charlotte North. (I-77 exit #18) We’ll start around 5:00 PM with a pizza social during check-in/registration. It'll be an awesome scene watching the coupes arrive. The Hotel has arranged for us to have a car washing station available. Car wash materials will be available, but please bring your own Chamois.
Hilton has given us a great rate and a dedicated reservations page: http://hiltongardeninn.hilton.com/en/gi/groups/personalized/C/CLTNHGI-DSS-20120706/index.jhtml?WT.mc_id=POG You can also call the hotel at 704-597-9428 , and use the rate code: “DSS”. PLEASE RESERVE SOON TO GET THIS SPECIAL RATE!!
Saturday 7/7 will be a full day –We’ll leave the hotel about 815 am. Spaces are reserved for us at Charlotte Cars and Coffee, Charlotte's premier cruise event. As people start to clear out, we'll setup our group photo with the Charlotte Skyline as our backdrop. We’ll roll out around 11am and head down the road to Indian Trail, NC and CES Motorsport, a local BMW Tuning shop. We’ll have lunch there. There will displays, demos and giveaways, plus there’s a special deal going on their Dyno that involves a Horsepower and Torque contest. Dyno Slots will be limited, so this will be first -come, first serve. IF YOU WANT A SPOT ON THE DYNO- YOU NEED TO INDICATE THIS ON THE REGISTRATION FORM. Please note that this is an extra cost item: $40 for 3 pulls, payed directly to CES Motorsports.
We’ll leave CES around 5 and head on over to dinner at The Waldhorn German Restaurant in Pineville, NC. We’ve got their banquet room reserved for dinner and awards. Dinner is at your own expense. http://www.waldhorn.us/
On Sunday 7/8, we will lead a group drive into the mountains above Marion/Little Switzerland.
We will have event photographers and a videographer on hand to capture everything.
This is a NOT-for-profit event. The event will be funded through registration fees plus a small amount of outside help.. While I hesitate to call it a charity event, I have pledged that any money left over after the bills are paid will be donated to Charity. Once the charity is designated, we will publish information about them, and there will be opportunity to make private donations during the event.
We are pleased to announce that this year we will be assisting Jeffrey’s Toy Closet. Jeffrey Stanton is a young teen living with Autism. He has an amazing story that includes a love for racing as well as for helping less fortunate kids. Jeffrey is a “young lion” Legends car driver running races here in the Carolinas. He started Jeffrey’s Toy Closet all on his own when he was 8 years old – saving his lunch money to buy toys for less fortunate classmates. Today, he collects toys in the pits during races and distributes them locally, as well as shipping toys around the country when he hears of a need. Jeffrey was featured on ESPN during countdown to green at the spring 2011 Dover NASCAR race. You will get to meet Jeffrey and his parents and check out his Legends car during our event. We will also run some raffles and collect donations for them during the event.
