The school will provide training in autocross concepts, driving technique, mental preparation, and loads of practice! Instruction is facilitated on the autocross course, as instructors ride along and coach you before, during, and after each run. There will also be brief classroom instruction. The schools are appropriate for all levels of experience – whether you’re new to autocross or have worn 100 sets of Hoosiers to the cords, you are sure to learn plenty and have a great time. Instruction is tailored to each student’s individual skill level and experience.
The instructors will be Marc Dana, Leland Giddens, Gerardo Bonilla, and Robert Palmblad. They will facilitate a combination of classroom and in-car instruction. Our core team of instructors has many years of combined driving and coaching experience, with diverse motorsport backgrounds that allow for the delivery of multiple perspectives. Students will spend equal time with each instructor, hearing a variety of feedback and ideas.
Arrival time is 7 am to change tires, prep your car, and sign in. Class will begin promptly at 8 am. We don’t mess around!
Each driver will make a total of 20 runs during the school and will work one-on-one with each instructor. The school will open with a brief classroom session, followed by a thorough course walk (bring a pen) and enough driving to blister your tires and your hands! We recommend using a spare set of tires, not that brand new set of Hoosiers you bought to challenge for a class championship this year. Tires also should have sufficient tread to accommodate 20 runs.
If the class fills, contact Zane Plumley at firstname.lastname@example.org to be placed on the waiting list. In the event of cancellations, open seats are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Be prepared to drive your heart out and have a blast! And learn a little bit, too…
If you have any questions, please contact Zane Plumley at email@example.com.
***NOTE: There is NO classing for this event, since it is not a competition. Therefore, car numbers must be unique for every car! Keep this in mind when registering.
