Thunderhill Rallycross SCCA Sept 10th, 11th

Thunderhill SCCA RallyCross will be at the Thunderhill Raceway on September 10th and 11th 2022. Saturday and Sunday will be NCRX points. Sunday is CRS championship points. This event is hosted by Blanco Racing and sponsored by COOLSHIRT SYSTEMS. There will be podium trophies issued along with raffle prizes of 3 COOLSHIRT complete systems on Sunday at the end of the day.

We welcome UTVs under the constructors class with street tires! Please see the 2022 SCCA rallycross rulebook for requirements. Organizers reserve the right to not allow you to drive, so please be safe and there won't be a problem.

Cost: $140 for both days or $65 for Saturday and $80 for Sunday. $15 will be added for non-SCCA members for weekend membership. Your weekend membership is valid for 5 days. Up to two weekend memberships (within a 60 day time frame) may be applied towards the cost of an annual SCCA membership.

If you register day of event, you will be charged $20 late entry fee. Registration will be open until 2 days before the event start date.

SCHEDULE

Saturday and Sunday

7:00am: Registration opens, tech opens, and the course is open for walking. Please check in on both days. Even though you might have registered Saturday (if driving both days) you still have to check in with Skye at the timing tent Sunday.

9:00am: Drivers meeting for all. If you are not registered/paid for by then, you cannot drive or add an entry. Everyone must attend drivers meeting due to safety regulations. No exceptions.

9:30am: First car out

12:00(ish): Lunch break (hour long)

1:00pm(ish): Race Resumes

5:00pm: All cars off track. Thunderhill requires all cars to be off track by then. Prizes and trophies shortly after (Sunday)

Fun runs are a thing! If we have time after run groups on Saturday, we will do fun runs! $5 each run/ unlimited runs up until 5pm. (We had 30 minutes of fun runs last event, so this will more than likely still be possible).

**COOLSHIRT prizes and podium trophies will be on Sunday** You will receive a raffle ticket upon registration (only on Sunday). Each driver has to work the course at least once, and you will turn in your raffle ticket as you head out to do so. Want more raffle tickets? Help out on the course more!

We are aiming at 6 runs for each run group.

Wrong run group means you get to run out of class, is not part of any point system and does not qualify for placement in any class. This is a convenience class. Stock cars will go first, followed by prepared then modified. **An email will go out a few days before announcing run groups** If you are not sure which class you are in, find an official! Event requirements

NO SMOKING ON ANY UNPAVED AREA.

ALL CARS MUST HAVE SPARK ARRESTORS if ANY CHANCE OF SPARK OUT OF EXHAUST.

A GRASS/SITE FIRE WILL IMMEDIATELY CANCEL EVENT AND JEOPARDIZE FUTURE EVENTS!!!

FIRE PREVENTION IS A REQUIREMENT. IF YOUR CAR IS A FIRE RISK, YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED ON UNPAVED LOT. BE A GOOD AMBASSADOR TO THE SPORT AND CHECK YOUR EQUIPMENT PRIOR TO ARRIVAL.

AGAIN, PLEASE NO FIRES ON SITE.

NO MUD ALLOWED INTO THE THUNDERHILL MAIN FACILITY. Once your car competes it is NOT allowed to enter the Thunderhill padlock areas!

98 DB at 50 feet sound restriction. (This is about as loud as a jackhammer at 50 feet).

All Thunderhill events for the foreseeable future will be SCCA sanctioned events. it would be cheaper in the long run to become an annual SCCA member.

Dry camping at site available for $35 per RV/Vehicle per night. To be paid on site to event organizer. This amount is required by Thunderhill raceway for camping.

Entry fees to be paid onsite. Cash payments, and/or Venmo & Paypal will be accepted. Cash is definitely preferred as cell service is hit or miss.

All persons driving in a car at this event must have an SCCA membership, either full or weekend.

Everyone is required to sign a waiver.

Fuel, Air, food (Thunderhill Grill), water, restroom, and medical facilities are available at the event site.

Helmets must be worn by all drivers and passengers during competition. Helmets must be in good condition, fit properly, provide adequate peripheral vision and the chin strap must be securely fastened. All helmets meeting the latest or two immediately preceding Snell Foundation standards (SA2015, SAH2010, SA2010, M2015, M2010, K2015, K2010), SFI standards 31.1, 41.1, 31.1A, 31.2A, 41.1A, 41.2A or British spec BS6658-85 type A/FR are acceptable.

Loaner helmets will NOT be available at the event.

All vehicles must have tech completed at the event prior to competing. Tech inspection will be the responsibility of each competitor. If you require assistance in preparing your vehicle for tech, contact an event official and someone will help you.

Your car should be race ready when you bring it to grid. Your car will have tech inspection on grid, remain with your car, open hood and trunk until tech is complete.

Ultimately, it is your responsibility to assess the risk to you, both on-track and off, and to make the decision on whether or not to participate. If you are feeling unwell or are experiencing symptoms such as fever, cough, or shortness of breath please stay home. If you have been in contact with someone who has been experiencing these symptoms in the last two weeks, please stay home.Notice to Participants: In light of the current COVID-19 situation, every attempt will be made to minimize the risks of exposure to the virus. New processes and procedures are being developed and will be put into place for events going forward.

While on site please take the health and safety of your fellow participants, volunteers and staff into consideration and practice social distancing, wear a mask, and wash your hands and/or use hand sanitizer frequently.
