About MyAutoEvents

Volunteers setting up cones at a grassroots motorsport event

We started MyAutoEvents because grassroots motorsports does not have enough good beginner resources. There are forums with decades of archived knowledge, but most of it assumes you already know the basics. There are club websites with event schedules, but they rarely explain what the events actually involve. And there are plenty of YouTube channels focused on expensive builds and pro-level driving, but not much that speaks directly to the person who has never been to an event and wants to know what to expect.

That gap is what we are here to fill.

Who We Are

We are autocrossers, track day regulars, and rallycross enthusiasts who have spent years running local events as drivers, instructors, and volunteers. We have set up courses in parking lots at 6 AM, ridden along with first-timers who were white-knuckling the steering wheel, and helped people fix problems in the paddock with whatever tools were in the trunk. This is what we do on weekends, and we think more people should be doing it too.

What We Believe

Grassroots motorsports should be accessible. You should not need to spend thousands of dollars or know the right people to get started. A reliable car, a small entry fee, and a willingness to learn is all it takes. We write every guide on this site with that in mind.

We also believe that honest, practical advice matters more than hype. We are not going to tell you that you need a $3,000 set of wheels for your first autocross, and we are not going to pretend that track days are cheap. We call it straight, because that is what we would want someone to tell us.

What You Will Find Here

We cover autocross, track days, rallycross, and the car prep that goes with all of them. Our beginner guides are the best place to start if you have never been to an event. Everything is written to be practical and actionable, not to impress other enthusiasts with jargon.

If you find something useful here and it helps you get to your first event, that is the whole point. We will see you out there.
